Second Coming, Fourth Indictment is a contemporary "power play" where Trump is a self-anointed martyr and state-indicted tyrant. The box evokes a tomb, the packaging of power and the disposability of icons. The piece occupies a surreal convergence of American exceptionalism, martyrdom pageantry and late capitalism.
A self-fashioned deity of grievance emerges out of this piece, an orange cavalry hovering between relic and refuse, it asks the question-who gets to ascend and who gets shipped out.
By juxtaposing numerology with the aesthetics of warehouse logistics, this work critiques our collective appetite for icons— consumed, condemned, and always somehow returned to sender.
